Fameuse X Detroit Red, Discovered by John McIntosh on his farm near
the St. Lawrence River in 1811. Fruit is medium to large, bright or dark red, with tender,
thin skin. The fruit is subacid, sweet, crisp, with white flesh making it a perfect aromatic
cider or excellent for eating out of hand. It ripens in early Sept.
